What is a Rap?

A RAP is a blended discussion on a particular book that will engage the students in research, debate, perspective taking and will allow for healthy argument on a topic or point of view. The central idea is that students construct meaning about a text by engaging in substantive dialogue with their peers in class and online about the higher order thinking questions posted as three RAP points and a RAP up. More information about RAPS is available on the Learning Place.
