New QCMP Funding

New QCMP (Queensland Community Mentoring Program) funding is now available upon application as an extension of the QCMP initiative that has been in operation since 2005 as part of the ETRF strategy to assist 'at risk' 15-17 year old youth.  New funding consists of $300,000 per financial year, state-wide, for 2007-08 and 2008-09.  The funding can be used to support existing mentoring initiatives or to implement a new mentoring initiative.  Groups eligible to apply for this funding include the following: community organisations, schools, education and training providers, local government authorities and other groups/ organisations (including clusters) interested in delivering mentoring initiatives aimed at supporting 'at risk' 15-17 year old youth.  Applicants are strongly encouraged to work with their communities and districts to align programs with local priorities for this group of young people.  Applicants should link their applications to priorities identified in the relevant District Youth Achievement Plan (DYAP).  Those wishing to apply should access the information and application packages provided below.
