The Network produces a book of ideas and activities based on the Book Week theme and Children's Book Council for Australia shortlisted titles. This is a useful book for libraries and classrooms and can be used as a source of ideas for promoting literature for years to come. It contains blackline masters as well as ideas for teachers, librarians and teacher-librarians. The book is aimed at a primary school level.
Monies raised from the sale of the books have been used to fund teacher in-service, the biennial Ipswich Festival of Children's Literature, workshops for young writers and illustrators and Book Week Competitions. Donations to the Children's Book Council of Australia Awards Foundation have made the network a Major Donor.
This area of the Ipswich District Teacher Librarian site is designed to support the book of ideas and activities based on the Book Week theme and shortlisted titles which is produced each year by the Ipswich District Teacher-Librarian Network. For more information on these awards visit the Children's Book Council of Australia. Please note, the book has sold in previous years, so please get your order in early. How to order our publication:
