Ipswich Library and Information Service has created a page of links to author websites and resources in their library. Ipswich Library Authors page
Information about presenters can be found below. In the Files to Download, there are two lists of presenters, one for schools and one for the weekend program containing biographical information. Similar information for individual authors in the schools program is also provided together with lists of books that will be available at the festival bookshop.
You may like to download flyers about the authors and illustrators you will be seeing and give copies to the students. This could help them find out more about the authors and to choose books to buy at the festival bookshop to be signed by the authors. Even if they can't buy a book, an interesting exercise I saw at a previous festival was to provide the students with the lists of books and ask them to do the following exercise:
"A generous person has given you $50 to spend at the bookshop. Which of the books would you select to buy? How much money would you have left? If you could choose only one, which one would it be? Why?"
If you would like this as a worksheet, look for the document below called Activity for Bookshop. The teacher who did this activity took a photo of each child holding their selected book and used the children's choices as a guide to buying books for their school.
Books will be on sale in the Mansion.
