FAQs

A great way to enhance your web pages is to add a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). You can add any number of FAQs to a page.

To add/edit/delete an FAQ:

Open Site Control - Secure area
Select Manage web pages
Select the appropriate site section name and open the page you wish to add FAQs
Select the FAQs button.
Fill in the question and answer fields and then select Add details
The message FAQ added appears when completed.

Can I place links, hyperlinks or email links inside the FAQ tool?

No, any links are shown as text, e.g. the Learning Place URL is shown as http://education.qld.gov.au/learningplace/ which is not a 'live' link.

How does the FAQ tool work?

The FAQ tool groups all questions together as links with the answers listed underneath. Clicking on the relevant question takes the viewer straight to the answer. Another 'FAQ Toc' button (FAQ Top of column) returns you to the beginning of the FAQ questions.

Is there a way I can manually make a FAQ type tool where the answer will carry 'live' links, emails etc?

Yes, you can do the same process manually by using html anchors. The instructions for this process are found in the section 'Editing web pages with html' on the page titled 'Anchors'

The FAQ tool is a powerful tool to sort questions and answers into blocks where the questions are easily scanned for the one that is most relevant to you. That question can then be selected and you are linked to the appropriate answer directly.
