Page polls

A page poll can be used to:

  • gather feedback from community members
  • show interest or understanding around a topic
  • conduct a quick quiz
  • have fun

You can add a poll to any page. Each poll can have up to 6 answers. The results are collated and archived for users to view.

To create a poll on a web page...

  1. Open Site Control - Secure area
  2. Select Manage web pages
  3. Select the appropriate site section name and open the page that will display the poll.
  4. Select Page poll located in the right panel: Other web page elements
  5. Select Create New Poll
  6. Fill in the form, being sure to complete all the fields marked * Required
Hint: jot down the date the poll finishes in your diary
  7. Select Add details
  8. The poll has now been added and is ready to use on your web page.

Tip

Put some thought into your poll and its purpose. People who visit your site might be annoyed if you over use polls or use them for frivolous reasons.
