Tell it digitally competition
Welcome to the Tell it digitally competition!
Every school has amazing stories to tell about their people and community.
Why not ask your students to create a great digital story and join our competition?
Your students may like to showcase their school by telling us about one or more of the following:
- The school's beginnings
- Earlier generations' times at the school
- A special day, year or decade
- Interview a benefactor and tell their story
- A significant event
- Your school today
They choose the time and subject. The choices for their ‘snapshot’ are endless!
A digital story is made from old photographs or new photographs, or both.
Have interior and exterior photos as the story context. Add narration and music (or sound effects) and the story is ready to share with others! There are other amazing digital possibilities your students will love learning about.
REGISTER HERE
Search your school library, family albums, Picture Queensland your local Council library or Historical Society for images of your school’s early days and changes over the years. Selected photos need to be copyright free and not of past students or teachers without parental or individual consent. You can go to forms to download the project consent form.
If your school is new, you may wish to take images of the school in its Q150 year as part of its story.
