Being a recent, newly appointed SMART Classrooms Mentor, I have taken on the responsibility for providing support to a number of schools within the Douglas-Mossman Cluster.  In conjunction with this role, I am a classroom teacher, currently teaching a Year 5/6 class at Port Douglas State School.  Having a background in Graphic Design has provided the opportunity to form a network where 'creativity' is a focus from which ICT skills, knowledge and understanding can be adapted for effective use within the curriculum and specifically in the classroom.

 

I am available to assist schools within the surrounding area by building capacity in teachers and school staff, supporting Smart Classrooms initiatives including effective use of the Learning Place, making ICT integral to teaching and learning.
