The Online Animation Festival is on again for 2009, The Year of Creativity, so it is the ideal time for experienced and first time animators to get creative. This is the perfect opportunity to collaborate within a classroom, a lunch club or across year levels in your school.
You’ll be amazed at the results you will achieve, and the fun you’ll have, creating your animated work of art. If you have access to a computer at your school, there is a multitude of free or low cost software available for you to produce your masterpiece.
A special treat for the winning schools is for places in an online chat with director and animator Anthony Lucas.
There will be awards in a range of categories including
Stop motion animation
Animated GIFs
Other types of animation, such as
Flash animation
Scratch
Machinima
Kahootz
Any other animation software you can get your hands on.
The judges found the task of picking the winners a very difficult task and were extremely impressed with the standard of entry. The winners will be attending an online chat early next term with Oscar nominated animator, Anthony Lucas, and receive certificates and an animated GIF that can be placed on their website identifying their school as an OAF2009 winning school.
Thank you again to all students, parents, teachers and schools involved in rhis year's festival and we hope to see you all again next year for OAF2010.
