Year 7 Aboriginal Culture, Then and Now. (93 K) - Type: Adobe Acrobat file Year 7-Students will learn about and compare their own and our Australian indigenous population though investigating their cultures, identities and the environments in which they interact.
Year 7 Does my vote count (85 K) - Type: Adobe Acrobat file Year 7-Students will learn about Australias government systems, the processes of free and fair elections and institutions of parliaments and the Australian Constitution. They will also learn about Australias legal system consisting of the laws, which impact on and reflect community values, and the courts, which uphold the laws, protecting rights and freedoms. They will apply their learnings into a debate on a contemporary issue and a persuasive letter to the principal. Students will design artwork centred on the elements of abstraction, depth, proportion and symbolism using changes within society to influence their choice of topic.
Year 7 How is my health and wellbeing influenced by peer pressure and the media (75 K) - Type: Adobe Acrobat file Year 6-Students will investigate how their health and wellbeing are multidimensional and influenced by peer pressure and the media through active research of multi model texts. They will investigate micro-organisms and the cause and effect relationship between them and food decay through scientific investigations.
Year 7 Lost in space (98 K) - Type: Adobe Acrobat file Year 7-Students will gain knowledge of interactions and changes in physical systems, our solar system and beyond, and how they can be explained and predicted through reading texts and viewing short films on our solar system. They will also write and design a fantasy narrative involving specified language elements.
