150 Views of Ipswich

A Collaborative Project by  Ipswich District Teacher Libarian Network and Primary Arts Network Ipswich.

Be part of this celebratory and exciting community project in 2010.

The IDTLN and PANI will invite teachers and students to attend workshops that will provide the inspiration for creating  literary and art works with students inspired by icons of their local area, people, places, objects, events within Ipswich that could be connected to the past present or future.

The IDTLN will provide workshops during The Poetry Feast and  PANI will provide the opportunity for teachers to attend a visual art work shop in Term 2 ,Thursday 13 May 2010 with Presenters: Mieke den Otter and Susanne Kelly at Queens Park Environmental Education Centre. Teachers will also be invited to participate in a large canvas project with their class. 150 literary and art works will be selected  for inclusion in the 150 Views of Ipswich Exhibition at the  Community Art Gallery from 15 August 2010 - 26 August 2010. The opening will be celebrated on Sunday 15 August 2010.

The 150 views of Ipswich will also be exhibited in an online exhibhiton at http://www.learningplace.com.au/sc/ipswich/idtln and http://www.learningplace.com.au/sc/ipswich/pani
