School ICT Plan

Every year, all state school principals need to lodge their School ICT Plans. The system is available through the department’s intranet site. This site is operational limited times during the early school year. (You will need your username & password emailed to you earlier this year.  If you didn't get the password and username or have misplaced them please contact the Service Centre 1800 680 445)

The School ICT Plans are mandatory annual resourcing agreements negotiated by all state schools. Through the agreements, schools detail how they will allocate resources to meet their individual targets for each of the 4 ICT Drivers.

In developing their School ICT Plans, schools need to:

  • interpret and discuss their individual School ICT Profiles, which will be provided to schools after they completed the 2009 ICT School Census.(2009 profile was sent in the last week of 2009 school year)
  • identify targets and strategies for meeting the benchmarks in the 2010 school year
  • Plan against the 2010-2013 ICT Index.
  • implement wide-ranging project activities that facilitate incremental and parallel improvement in the integration of ICT into learning
  • allocate resources to support the achievement of targets
  • identify how they will monitor and measure their achievement of the targets
  • consider and include professional development for teachers, detailing the provision of meaningful learning and development experiences for teachers which is linked to the Smart Classrooms PD Framework.

School administrators can access the Diagnostic Tools for Planning Integration of the ICT Leaders' Gateway for further advice on completing their School ICT Plans.

This initiative extends the excellent work of schools in the School ICTs for Learning Agreement of the 2002 to 2005 ICTs for Learning strategy.
