Overview
Positive Behaviour Support Logic

The Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support program assists schools to implement evidence based approaches to managing student behaviour and related complex support issues at the local community level including:

•  Capacity building of school staff to deal with behaviour issues within existing  resource and skill base
•  Competing values and changing community expectations that can mismatch with  legislative and policy requirements
•  Impact on staff productivity, absenteeism, illness and stress related issues
•  Re-establishing the connection between learning, behaviour and engagement

Projected Outcomes
The projected outcomes of the Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support Program are focussed on these key areas:

•   Development of a behaviour support system for every child in the host school sites.
•   Use of research data from school sites to design a blueprint for establishing and  maintaining safe, supportive school environments in Queensland schools.
•  Increase collaboration between multiple community support systems, education,  juvenile justice, child and youth mental health, family and medical.
•   Integrate academic and behavioural success for all students through analysis of host  school site research data to assist.
•   Provide working demonstrations to reinforce that rationale for local implementation  and serve as training resources and models of future teams.
