It is highly desirable that students are:

• attempting or have already completed Maths B (a solid grounding in algebra is especially useful)
• capable of following self-guided instructions used for practical activities.

Apparatus

Students will need access to some apparatus for selected experiments at their own school. Many schools will have some or all of the apparatus for Physics. Many more will have Junior Science apparatus that will suffice in part. Some apparatus will have to be purchased or borrowed and some consumables will be required (e.g. pins, carbon paper, ticker tape, light bulbs, batteries, plasticine)

Assessment

Senior subject assessment programs will vary in nature but the range and type of assessment items will meet all requirements of the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA). Teachers will develop a variety of assessment items so that students can show the full range of their capabilities.
