Maths C (Year 11 & 12) is delivered from Kenmore SHS

The subject requires:

• a solid grounding in junior Maths (e.g. high achievement) especially algebra
• concurrent or prior enrolment in Maths B

Resources required

• Text book - Years 11 and 12 - Maths Quest (Jacaranda)
• Graphics calculator - Texas Instruments TI-83.
• Equation Editor which can be found on the Microsoft Office CD-ROM. (Optional but useful)

Preferable resources

• A graphing software package will be useful such as Graphmatica (free download) or Maths Helper v2c . Available from Teachers Choice Software, phone (07) 3288 5035 or fax (07) 3288 3702.

• Graphics tablet. Input of formulae and characters required in Maths C is extremely difficult with mouse or keyboard. A graphics tablet makes this process much easier. 

Assessment

Senior subject assessment programs will vary in nature but the range and type of assessment items will meet all requirements of the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA). Teachers will develop a range of assessment items so that students can show the full range of their capabilities.
