Bunya to the Bay Eco Adventure
What is B2B?

The B2B journey involves a group of young River Ambassadors travelling from the very source of the Brisbane River where its headwaters gather in the Bunya Mountains and following it all the way to the river mouth in Moreton Bay. Enroute River Ambassadors collect information about the catchment with the focus on the key outcome – What is the Future of our Waterways?

29th August 2010 - 12th September 2010

The Bunya to the Bay Virtual Field Trip is a River Journal for our 30 River Ambassadors, who will be exploring the Brisbane River.  Their journey will begin on Sunday August 29th.  For 16 days they will hike, bike, canoe and sail their way through South-East Queensland catchments.  They travel from the source to Fort Lytton at the mouth of the Brisbane River.

Share in our River Ambassadors' discoveries online and follow their day to day adventures on the Bunya to the Bay virtual field trip.

Online Eco Adventure

The 2010 Bunya to the Bay Eco Adventure will offer three options for online participation.

Three levels of participation: observe, appreciate and investigate.

Follow the River Ambassadors journey online and complete the Eco Adventure daily challenges.

Follow the online journey and showcase online, work that reflects "appreciation" of our waterways and environment.

Follow the online journey, explore local environmental issues using an action research model and submit research findings online.

These options will allow teachers and their students from P-12 flexibility in the degree to which they wish to participate. The online activities incorporate a number of key learning areas enabling students to express themselves through their chosen medium.

We encourage students to articulate their concerns and be proactive about the future of their local environment.
