Bunya to the Bay 2008

The Bunya to the Bay Virtual Field Trip was the River Journal for our River Ambassadors, 26 wonderful students and staff who explored the Brisbane River.  Their journey began on Sunday August 24th and over 15 days, they hiked, biked, canoed and sailed their way through South-East Queensland catchments.  They travelled from the source to Fort Lytton at the mouth of the Brisbane River.

Bunya to the Bay was designed to connect student to their River Catchment through an environmental adventure.  All students involved were focused on the key outcome – What is the Future of our Waterways?  They explored who is responsible for managing our waterways and their value to our community.

In the Spotlight
VFT A Virtual Field Trip allows students to explore and investigate a place without leaving their home or school!

Students collect data, information, statistics, report findings, post images, sounds and videos of experiments, surveys and other educational activities online constructing a field trip.

Virtual Field Trips have two components both based on an inquiry or investigations of an area.

Register your class to participate in a VFT today!
