The "Our World" web conference series will explore a range of online tools/ resources, software and techniques that may be useful for supporting students in connecting their learning to real world places in Queensland, Australia, the World and Space.
SESSION 3 (September 7th) Specialist devices and software: Guest teachers using GPS and Mapping software share their experiences and ideas. More suitable for middle and senior phase.
Other our World web conferences sessions include:
- SESSION 1 (August 10th) - Explore online tools and resources: This session focuses primarily on Australian resources that can be used to gain data and information about places, mapping, distances, terrain, weather and for finding your way!
- SESSION 2 (August 24th) Lit Trips: Step by step instruction on how to use Scribble Maps to create your own digital texts that can be viewed in Google Earth. This process is suitable for a range of text types (literary and non-literary) and phases of learning.

*This series is aimed to inspire teachers who do not have experience using spatial technologies. It may not be suited to those that attended the SIT To Get Global workshop day as some of the sessions have been repeated.
Time: 3:30pm until 4:30pm
